Summary

The CAMP Slow Control System consists of a single server and multiple client applications which communicate via RPCs. CAMP has been optimized for use with complex instrumentation with well-defined communications protocol. The Tcl interpreted language is used for concise, intelligent instrument driver programming. Multithreading using DECthreads is used to improve response. CAMP is currently running on the OpenVMS/VAX platform; development is underway to port the system to the VxWorks/M68k platform.
